Select Simply Me portraits from photographers across the country will be exhibited this fall at a national art show in Springfield, Illinois, hosted by the Photography Business Institute.
One image from this year's Simply Me sessions will be selected to represent Sarah Lang Photography at the show.

Hi, I’m Sarah.
I’ve been photographing families, children and pets in Indianapolis since 2010.
My background in journalism and print marketing shaped the way I see stories, details and the importance of preserving them well.
That is exactly what I love about Simply Me.
These portraits are simple, timeless and full of personality. No elaborate sets. No forced smiles. Just your child as they are right now, curious, joyful, silly, thoughtful, confident or wonderfully unpredictable.
My work became deeply personal when I realized how few photographs I have from my own life, especially from childhood and with the people I love. It’s why I care so much about helping families preserve these fleeting seasons in a beautiful, meaningful and lasting way.
I want every family I photograph to feel relaxed, seen and cared for, and to walk away with artwork that celebrates who their child is today and becomes even more treasured with time.

Simple, solid colors work beautifully in black and white. I’ll give you specific guidance at the consultation but the short version is:
keep it comfortable and don’t stress. This is the one session where the outfit barely matters.
MY CHILD IS SHY OR HIGH-ENERGY. IS THAT OKAY?
Absolutely! The session moves at your child’s pace, not the other way around.
